Newburgh Woman Who Made Headlines For False Claims About Homeless Veterans Sentenced For Wire Fraud And Stolen Valor

United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Jay Clayton, announced that SHARON TONEY‑FINCH, who made false public claims about assisting homeless veterans, was sentenced today to 12 months and one day by U.S. District Judge Vincent L. Briccetti for a years-long scheme to defraud military veterans’ charities and falsely claiming that she was a Purple Heart recipient.
