Iraqi National Arrested And Charged With Providing Material Support To Iranian-Backed Terrorist Organizations And Directing Attacks Targeting U.S. Citizens And Interests

United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Jay Clayton, Acting Attorney General for the United States, Todd Blanche, Assistant Attorney General for National Security, John A. Eisenberg, Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (“FBI”), Kash Patel, Assistant Director in Charge of the New York Field Office of the FBI, James C. Barnacle, Jr., and Commissioner of the New York City Police Department (“NYPD”), Jessica S. Tisch, announced today the arrest of MOHAMMAD BAQER SAAD DAWOOD AL-SAADI, an Iraqi national and senior member of Kata’ib Hizballah, a U.S. designated foreign terrorist organization (“FTO”).
